This has been a hard one for me as I don't have a best human friend. I wish I did but I just don't. I'm crap at keeping friends. I always expect as much effort as I give and when that is not returned I back off. As I have got older and especially in the past 3 years I have become very weary of making friends. I can't be doing with getting hurt again. So, my best friend is Pepper.
To people who have never loved a horse you might as well hop to another blog. You will now think Im completely bonkers.
I can tell her anything. She might not reply but I know she is listening. She doesn't judge me and only expects food and hugs from me.
Horses are such spiritual creatures. How many other wild animals let a human sit apon them and trust them?
She looks after me too. Recently Kev has been really ill. When he spent his first night in hospital but was discharged I went to feed Pepper but decided to hop on her back. I've never done this before. I had no saddle, no bridle, no hat and no boots. She took me for a walk and just let me hang round her neck like a monkey. I'd had such an emotionally draining few days and she knew that.

I understand the "human friends" thing. I have many acquaintances but no best friend (apart from my hubby but that doesn't count). I'm loving your daily blogs xxx
